Subtask 1: Evaluate Different Central Station Design Options
A number of scenarios for central charging station possibilities like large car parking lots, multi-storey car parks,
central fast-charging and battery swapping will be discussed. Even combinations of such will be subject to be analyzed.
For each scenario a number and type of EV’s, probable battery types and charging levels and finally design proposals will be made.
Technical due diligences will be performed for researching the benefits or downsides of fast-charging versus battery-swapping and of DC versus AC loading as well as single phase (230V) versus three phase (400V) loading.
This includes an evaluation of existing patents and common market research findings.
The subject of health and safety for individuals regarding operating the equipment or being close to a central station has to be investigated.
It will provide answers to customer demands and expectations.
