2. September 2010
by Danish Energy Association - Anders Holm FoosnæsA big audience was gathered at the DTU RISØ national laboratories in Roskilde to learn about the mid term results from the EDISON project.
A large number of stakeholders, journalists and researchers had come to the unveiling of the mid term results of the Edison Project. The work shop was divided in two. The first part contained five presentations. Kim Behnke from Energinet.dk told the audience why the Danish power system needs EVs. Jens R. Andersen from Peugeot talked about e-mobility seen from a car manufacturer’s perspective. The EDISON project was then presented as the intelligent link between the power system and the future EVs by project manager Jørgen S. Christensen.
The two following presentations gave a short presentation of some of the most important results of the project so far. “EDISON picture on EV charging” presented by Lars Henrik Hansen explained different options of how the EVs and related actors can interact with the electricity market. “The need for standardisation” presented by Claus Amtrup Andersen gave insight into the international standardisation process and how the EDSION project is contributing to create international results.
Presentations from the first part of the work shop can be downloaded here .
The second part of the day was devoted to showing the more practical parts of the project. Four different show cases were prepared:
A.
Fleet operation for mutual benefits
B.
The user is important
C.
The fast charging option
D.
The power balancing option
