EDISON at Researchers‘ Night 2009 in Zurich

With local support by IBM Research, the EDISON consortium participated at the Researchers‘ Night 2009 in Zürich and explained the synergies between green wind energy and electric vehicles. Were you one of the more than 10,000 people that jammed the tents last Friday?

In the EDISON tent, we explained the concept of the project using a fully functioning Demonstrator linking a minature wind turbine to a web-based electric vehicle (EVs). The audience, which included children, students, professors and local citizens left the EDISON tent with a good understanding that EVs are not only more efficient than traditional cars with less noise and particles, but also allow to users to fully utilize higher volumes of renewable wind energy by providing storage capacity and extra security of supply. Company BRUSA Elektronik AG exhibited their Spyder totally-electric car and FCT electronic GmbH explained with their Charging Demonstrator the timing of various options.
